The eldest of Bangkok markets is Chatuchak, also known as "JJ market" or the weekend market. This enormous and sprawling ground is open every Saturday and Sunday. Chatuchak is divided in zones and has stalls after stalls specializing on one type of product. Rows of stalls selling denims and jeans, shoes and trainers, socks and underclothes, crocky and cutlery, delicate glass ornaments, more functional glass and household ware, wood carvings, ceramics, woven baskets are just some of the goods on sale.
