Shopping in Thailand  Most visitors always amazed at the variety of shopping opportunities Bangkok has to offer. Anything and everything is on sale from high class products that could grace the exclusive shops of London, Paris or New York, to cheap rip-offs of designer labels, CDs, VcDs, watchs, suitcases and the like; and everything in between these two extremes.  Bangkok does not have anything like London's Oxford Street, or Paris's Marais, New York's 5th Avenue, or Singapore's Orchard Road. However there ares where street and night markets and large upscale shopping centers along the main business, entertainment and tourist areas of Silom, Sukhumwit and Siam Square. You will find an abundance of retail therapy opportunities. What people want to do most when they arrive in Bangkok is to visit the streets and night markets; and Bangkok has them in profusion.
