Light cotton clothing is the order of the day. Do remember that the tropical sun can be quite fierce so a hat is useful, and don't forget to use a good sun screen. Northern part has a much cooling temperatures as low as 8 degrees centigrade with the occasional 20 degree day. Nights can be particularly chilly and at high altitudes, the temperature sometimes drops below freezing. Therefore do not forgot to bring thick sweaters.
